AINOW Society successfully delivered a two-day AI workshop with Coalition SEGA, focusing on practical AI skills, ethics and responsible adoption.

AINOW Society successfully delivered a two-day workshop on the ethical and practical application of artificial intelligence in cooperation with the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA, as part of its capacity-building activities supported through collaboration with the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation.

Led by Suad Seferi, Founder and President of AINOW Society, the workshop brought together SEGA team members to explore how artificial intelligence can improve everyday organizational work while maintaining responsible and ethical practices.

From AI Fundamentals to Practical Applications

The training combined essential AI concepts with hands-on exercises tailored to the needs of civil society organizations.

Participants explored generative AI tools, prompt engineering, AI assistants, agents, skills and connectors, alongside practical applications in research, education, communication, project planning and organizational workflows.

Particular attention was given to ethics, privacy, cybersecurity, misinformation and the responsible handling of information when working with AI systems.

Turning Knowledge into Practical Skills

A central part of the workshop focused on practical exercises, allowing participants to experiment with different AI platforms and apply what they learned to real organizational tasks.

The sessions demonstrated how AI can support document preparation, research, content development, workflow automation and the creation of reusable solutions for everyday operations.

Participants were also introduced to the AINOW AI Literacy Platform, a free educational initiative offering practical AI learning resources in Macedonian, Albanian and English.

The emphasis throughout the workshop was on developing practical skills, critical thinking and the ability to evaluate AI-generated results rather than simply relying on automated responses.

Strengthening AI Capacity in Civil Society

For civil society organizations, adopting artificial intelligence is not simply about introducing new tools. It requires understanding their capabilities, recognizing potential risks and identifying where technology can genuinely improve existing processes.

Through this workshop, AINOW Society continued its commitment to making AI knowledge accessible and helping organizations develop the confidence and skills needed to use emerging technologies responsibly.

The training also forms part of a broader capacity-building process that includes follow-up mentoring to support participants in applying their knowledge within their organizations.

AINOW Society thanks the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA for its trust and cooperation, the Pestalozzi Children's Foundation for supporting the initiative, and all participants for their active engagement and contributions throughout the workshop.

We remain committed to advancing AI literacy, responsible adoption and practical digital skills across North Macedonia.
