Explore AINOW AI Literacy v0.95 with three free learning environments, 1,000 AI skills, 1,000 MCP references and improved tools

Key takeaways

Our free AI Literacy Platform now includes three learning environments, with new development resources, improved tools, a unified interface and a more consistent experience across Education, Business and DEV.

AINOW Society has released version 0.95 of the AINOW AI Literacy Platform, expanding the project with a dedicated development environment and improvements across its existing applications.

Originally created to help teachers and educational institutions understand and use artificial intelligence, the platform has gradually grown into a broader learning resource for educators, students, professionals, organisations and people interested in developing AI-powered applications.

With v0.95, users can now choose between three learning environments: Education, Business and DEV.

AINOW Literacy for Development

All three are free, available in Macedonian, Albanian and English, and designed to work without mandatory registration or continuous internet connectivity.

What Is the AINOW AI Literacy Platform?

The AINOW AI Literacy Platform is an open-source educational project developed by AINOW Society to make artificial intelligence more accessible, understandable and useful.

The platform provides learning guides, practical prompts, AI tool references, agent instructions, workflows and interactive resources that help people build their knowledge and apply AI to real tasks.

It is not another AI chatbot or a replacement for services such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Instead, it helps users understand these technologies, learn how to work with them and explore practical applications.

For example, a teacher can use the platform to prepare classroom activities or create assessments. A professional can find prompts and AI agent instructions relevant to their work. Someone interested in AI development can explore skills, MCP connectors and workflows without having to search through hundreds of unrelated resources.

The platform is organised around these different needs, allowing users to select the learning environment most relevant to them.

Three Learning Environments

Education: AI Literacy for Schools and Universities

Education was the first part of the platform and remains focused on helping teachers, school administrators, students and higher education professionals use AI responsibly.

AINOW Literacy for Education

It includes:

Teachers can explore examples for lesson preparation, classroom activities, communication with parents and educational planning.

The Higher Education section also supports university lecturers, researchers, student services, doctoral supervision and institutional administration.

The aim is to make AI literacy practical for educational settings, without requiring teachers to become technical experts.

Business: AI for Everyday Professional Work

Introduced in version 0.94, Business extends the platform beyond education.

AINOW Literacy for Business

It provides resources for professionals working in different sectors, including management, finance, law, healthcare, software development, communication and administration.

The environment includes:

Rather than starting with an empty chat window, users can find a relevant example, adapt it to their situation and use it with a compatible AI service.

An organisation exploring AI adoption can also use the library to identify possible applications before investing in more advanced systems.

DEV: Learn How AI Applications Work

DEV is the main new addition in version 0.95.

It is designed for developers, students, technical professionals and anyone interested in understanding the tools and methods used to build AI-powered applications.

AINOW Literacy for Development

The new environment introduces:

DEV also includes interactive examples, six practice checks, original skill-file readers, saved items and a token and context calculator.

These features allow users to explore technical concepts more directly.

For example, users can examine the contents of an AI skill, understand how an MCP connection is described or estimate how much context a particular AI task may require.

The skills, MCP records and workflows are educational reference materials. They should not be confused with preinstalled integrations or automatically executable tools.

Imported materials retain their original languages, attribution, licences and source revisions, allowing learners to examine the original resources.

With DEV, we are extending the platform from learning how to use AI toward understanding how AI-powered systems can be developed.

What's Changed in Version 0.95?

The addition of DEV is only one part of this release.

Version 0.95 also introduces several improvements designed to make the three environments easier to navigate and use.

A Consistent Experience Across All Three Applications

Education, Business and DEV now share a more consistent visual design.

We have aligned headers, navigation menus, sidebars, buttons, reference sections and other interface elements.

The update also introduces a shared typography system, improved light and dark appearances and more consistent language controls across Macedonian, Albanian and English.

The objective is straightforward: users should not have to learn a different interface every time they switch between the three applications.

Improved Prompt Reading and Navigation

We have also improved how users browse, open and work with prompts in Education and Business.

Updated library cards, search controls and reading views make longer content easier to access.

On mobile devices, prompts can now be opened in a full-screen reader, providing more space for reading and editing.

Copy controls and actions for opening compatible AI applications remain visible, helping users move from finding a prompt to using it.

These improvements are particularly useful for longer instructions and multi-step tasks that may be difficult to read on smaller screens.

Better Help, Settings and Local Workspaces

Version 0.95 introduces a more consistent Help, About and Settings experience.

Users can find worked examples, frequently asked questions, information about AINOW Society and its programmes, and guidance on available learning resources.

Language and appearance preferences are easier to manage.

Business and DEV now also include improved local note-taking through Scratchpad, with separate storage for each environment.

Backup handling has been improved, allowing users to manage their locally saved information more reliably.

Reliability and Security Improvements

Beyond the visible changes, this release includes technical maintenance and corrections.

We have addressed issues involving search in different languages, pagination, browser navigation, backup validation and synchronisation between browser tabs.

The release also resolves three previously identified GitHub CodeQL findings affecting HTML rendering and warning filtering.

Our published release passed 114 local checks and 102 extracted-source checks, alongside GitHub CodeQL scans. Further physical-device and screen-reader verification remains part of the quality-assurance process.

These changes are intended to make the platform more reliable while preserving existing resources and locally saved information.

Free, Open Source and Available Offline

One of the principles behind the AINOW AI Literacy Platform is that access to AI education should not depend on expensive subscriptions or specialised infrastructure.

The platform remains free to use, with no mandatory AINOW account.

Users can access it directly at edu.ainow.mk or download the open-source release from GitHub.

The downloaded version can run locally, including from a computer or USB drive, without requiring a server installation.

This makes it useful for schools, training environments and organisations where reliable internet access may not always be available.

The platform also follows a privacy-focused approach. Learning resources can be used without creating a personal profile, while supported preferences, notes and saved items remain stored locally.

External AI services, however, have their own account requirements, privacy policies and internet connectivity needs.

The application source is distributed under GPLv3, while third-party reference materials retain their respective licences and attribution.

Why We Continue Developing It

AI literacy is not limited to knowing how to write a prompt or generate an image.

For educators, it means understanding how AI can support teaching while recognising its limitations. For professionals, it includes identifying useful applications and evaluating their results. For people interested in development, it means learning how AI systems interact with tools, information and workflows.

These are different needs, but they are connected.

We started with education because teachers and schools needed practical, accessible resources. We expanded into Business because professionals face similar challenges when introducing AI into their everyday work.

With DEV, we are making another part of the learning process accessible to a wider audience.

For North Macedonia and the Western Balkans, the availability of practical resources in local languages is particularly important. People should be able to learn the fundamentals of AI and explore more advanced applications without relying exclusively on English-language materials or paid training platforms.

Our goal is to continue developing the AINOW AI Literacy Platform as a free resource that people can explore independently and that institutions can adapt to their educational and professional needs.
